Built up crown moulding

Etien's picture

I tried to save an issue of FHB from I guesss a few years back but have since misplaced it. I wonder if anyone can remember the article or better, which issue, I'm missing. It covered built up crown moulding, maybe 3 or 4 piece assembly, some from the lumberyard & some shop built. There was a series of illustrations and maybe installation suggestions, I can't remember. Or maybe someone has an idea of another source for built up crown ideas. Any suggestions would be helpful. . .

It sound like this one

CROWN-MOLDING FUNDAMENTALS
by Clayton DeKorne
Backing ripped from 2x4s and a well-planned installation scheme take a lot of the guesswork out of this challenging job

you can check the back issues to find some of the articles, also the current issue has an article on crown's.

Thank you for your reply. I really gave bad clues. I found the issue I remembered, it was in "FWW" not "FHB!" Thanks for the speedy assistance, though.

Probably not what you're looking for if it was a few years back but November 2006, issue No. 182 was "Built-up crown molding". It had a series of illustrations and photos.
