I am working on a slab foundation house in Whittier Ca. the outer 5 to 6 feet of the perimiter of the foundation has dropped any where from 1″ to 3″. What should I do to stop this from continuing? I am thinking about digging down 1 or 2 feet and pouring a 2x2x2 cube of cement to tie into the wall with simpson brackets to put a solid footing at support post areas. The real fix is to knock the whole house down and rebuild – but for now just stop the movement. Also the door openings are out of square at least 1/2″ in 24″ , door gaps range form zero clearance to 1″ out. Any ideas or helpful hints are greatly appreciated !
