You got their better side.

Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.  --Herman Melville

I dunno Dan............ (post #206629, reply #5 of 18)

that's a fine group of misfits there.

Afterall, they're just faceless people on the internet, no?

You must have had a good a time as Joyce and I did..............

It was, as usual, a grand time.   Nobody fell down.........

well, cept for Don.

Nobody cried............

not even those that fell to our mighty hands on those horseshoes.

(I think that maybe the TEAM got put down in the dark forests of Washington)

but the best thing to happen outta this trip, Joyce and I got to know the Hosts a little bit better.  Dinner at Angelo's Sunday night was a real good time!

But sum bitsch, I'm wore out....................

It looks like a great Fest, (post #206629, reply #7 of 18)

It looks like a great Fest, at least from the photos Mike posted elsewhere.  It's kinda hard to tell from the backside shot...  I wonder why they all turned around???

I wish I could have made there to meet everyone.

Billy (post #206629, reply #8 of 18)

We've been camping with the same 4-5 families since our children were a couple years old (they now have kids of their own).  We'd always take a group shot on our last day.  Some fine memories out of those pictures.

Well, don't know who...............don't know why, but one time we took the butt shot-sort of a "hello/goodbye" photo.

So, what the heck-

"one more, everyone turn around".

One of Mike's crew was overheard to say-"why am I smiling?".............

I'll post a couple more of the group photo op here shortly.  There'll be the usual "herding cats" shot, the free style category and what I suppose will be THE official shot-you know, at least part of everyones face shot.

Oddly,  we managed to get I thinnk, all the people that attended.   Most of the time, someone's in the can.............went home to take a nap..............happened to be touring some area sites................went to town for something.

Calvin, That makes sense. (post #206629, reply #9 of 18)

Calvin,

That makes sense.  It's great to have traditions like that, it does keep everyone smiling (front or back).

You're one brave photographer to get on that backside of those folks after they've been drinking beer all weekend...

Seriously, it looks like it was a great time.

Billy

Here's the boss......... (post #206629, reply #10 of 18)

It's been mentioned for a long time............ (post #206629, reply #11 of 18)

that these Fests from the invitations through registrations and from there to the "can't make its" and the "wish I had's" is alot like herding cats.

Here you see Mike trying to move the victims into position for the group photo.

Coming from Ohio............ (post #206629, reply #14 of 18)

this was an interesting part of the country to visit.

Different architecture, some different plants, topography and geographical change for sure.
