## RhodeFest II 2012 Breaktime Fest ## (post #205674)
Well..... since we all survived 2011 and no one got raptured, Helen and I decided to press our
luck... we're going to Co-Host this year's fest with Kathy & Ralph Wicklund at our home in Jamestown, RI.
The weekend selected, by popular vote, is August 10, 11, & 12.
So mark your calendars, check your google maps, and plan on a fun weekend... our 13th fest.. ever since
Lisa & Pete Draganic started the tradition back in 2000.
We'll be working on accomodations , menu and events..... and trying to arrive at a cost.
Kids welcome.. dogs, not so much. There'll be lot's of kids between nephews and grandkids......
Our thanks to Maureen and Dan at Taunton Press......................
More later.............

We're signing up. Joyce and I will be there.
However, we cannot bring horseshoes or stakes this time, as we are forced to fly as joyce cannot get off in time enough to drive-that damn other girl puts her name on the damn vaca. calendar as soon as it's put up. Now, this opens it wide for any and all potential victims to take on this formidable horseshoe duo. Not our stakes, not our shoes.
So, if you've got a bigger mouth than I or a wife prettier than mine-please join in.
Thank you to you two and of course the other two for hosting this year! We had a super good time at the last one and are expecting to better that this year.
May god have mercy on your souls.

Shoes (post #205674, reply #2 of 15)
Aren't horse shoes allowed as carry-on items? You just put them on the plastic trays going through TSA scan. Just watch the other people and do what they do.
Well, I guess so.......... (post #205674, reply #3 of 15)
I just don't want to have the plane tilt to one side...........

Go see a shrink... (post #205674, reply #5 of 15)
Tell him or her, in your best psycho-babble, how attached you are to your horseshoe set, and how the presence of your set of horseshoes calms and comforts you. Your shrink will then write you a letter that you can present to the TSA, allowing you to take your horsehoe set on board the airplane with you.
It's how I fly carry-on with my machete collection.
Or maybe Joyce can wear the horseshoes as earings and you can duct tape the stakes to your back and claim they are a scoleosis brace.
