The pics are starting to arrive. Let me see if I can figure out how to post them:
and Gunner says he'll send more later.
Mike Smith coming out of his office and a "Rezfest" shirt.
How do you like the way we nestled that thing right next to the spruce tree? Fine Gardening
Mike & Susan-
thanks again for a GREAT time. You guys were wondeful to put up with us for the weekend.
And tell the cops they can take the roadblocks down now.
And don't forget to let the guys out of the freezer at the bread store.
So I take things are going well???
I think the word is "went"...
It's a small world. Until you have to walk home...
You be right!
I'm runnin' behind right now, I just started a new job and am on 3rd shift so stuff is kinda screwed up fer me.
Did I mention that I'm not plumbin' anymore?
So which job did you take ?
Wait. 3rd shift.
You took the factory job. Better bennies.
Good for you !!
Yep, I be workin' at Zappos. Full bennies across the board. Dental, eye care, and health, all free.
I actually worked at the plumbin' job for a month before this one came up. That was a great job too, but not as good.
So you be making lighters now ?
But I do help to make sure that the most sofisticated conveyor system I've ever seen delivers thousands and thousands of shoes every day!
It's forkin' amazing how many shoes they ship in a day!!!
I thought I'd show you some of the local flavor. These gardens just a bit south of our hotel.
Check out these babes..............
I mean, take a look at this fountain-and the rose garden-and this gate.
A Great Place for Information, Comraderie, and a Sucker Punch.
Remodeling Contractor just outside the Glass City.
Gunner asleep at the switch?...........................the fountain needs a pool noodle
I'm not flippin' you off.........just counting cubits !!!
and you think he'd be caught dead in the Gardens?
But let's see what he missed.............
A beautiful hotel on the lake.
A dock on the water.
I thought many times during that lake cruise that I wished I had a box of beads and no family along -
Those NewYawkers have a penchant for beads.
We were in the Bizzaro universe to your lake with hot babes. The women on our lake tour were all Fat ankled, denim skirt wearing, Pabst Blue ribbon chugging, property of Darrel tattoo sporting , Marlboro Red chain smoking, front tooth missing Sea hags.
After the big Red Ford decided I probably did have every right to drive as slow as I wanted and got off my bumper we got to looking around. I think Lake Saratoga is more of a Nascar fan type lake. I called my folks after I saw the shack we had lived in and offered them money. We didn't have it so good. LOL
But it was an awesome time. Thanks for putting together the Swag. Who donated the sharpening station? I wanted to let them know I apreciated it.
Here's some pics of my childhood crib. I still can't believe I rowed that lake at 13. But then again. That's when you don't know failure.
DonCanDo trying to freak me out. Doncando and Jercarp trying to plan a strategy before rookie initiation starts. And Mikes own Woodshed I'm sure beer gets drank there so it's his own woodshed tavern?
It got to be a blur in that sweltering garage............................but-either FHB or perhaps Ralph-seems in his bag of flashlights there was something...............maybe , that was heavy.....................could have been a couple of heavy......................
That's my best guess. There was some serious volume.
Nice place by the way. That lake. We played Friday at the Lakes golf course-not on the water but way up the hill from the south end.
That heavy something was a Blade Runner and a package of extra blades to go with it. I hope whoever got the Blade Runner got them, too.
Never can have enough flashlights on hand. Maybe I'll do the same next year - maybe.
We got home Tuesday night. Crashed. Mowed the lawn Wednesday before the heat ramped up. Thermometer on my front porch hit 100 (in the shade). Got to load the tools back into the van soon, customers are expecting some work before I take more time off in the homestead on wheels.
This was certainly a grand fest. Can't say enough about our hosts. If Mike and Sue are reading this - STAND UP and take a bow. Want to do it again?????
and I did see a similar pkg by blade runner-attempted to put those in the same bag-believe I did . That was some wild [JOBSITE WORD] 'd swag distribution.
I got that Blade Runner and blades.
I think I can figure out what it is supposed to do...
Thanks, Summer Santa!
I have the photo of the Lake cruise here now, and should be able to send larger copy to any who want to send me their email and largest digital size you can swallow.
As I make it out for names...
Of course that is Rich Beckman in the middle ring
Then from left to right, we have:
That guy from Taunton Press who brought all the bags of booty - Dan Morrison ( the Good One)
Jer, then Mrs Jer ( sorry to forget your name - starts with a J...?)
I think that is Mike our host behind Emma
with DoncanDo to his right
Ms Beckman in front of him ( Debbie?)
Ian wrapping his long loving horseshoe arms around his lovely gal
In the back Shep towers above the crowd
Audrey ( aka Mrs Jet or my, how good you look this fine morning)
Jet ( aka bruce or Mr Audrey)
Mrs D ( Valerie?)
Joyce and her companion loaded down with all that camera gear is Calvin.
We did the best we could...
eh - it coulda been an old trailer 10' away from the next one in the park (not that there's anything wrong with that) - it is a cottage on a lake - during the summer - good living, good choice, 'thanks, dad' -
but if you have money to give away - I live in a shack that's not on a lake.....
It wasn't all that bad. And we had our own dock with a row boat. Sorry about the money I spent it all on gas and tolls on the way home.
We lived in trailer parks ranging from the deep woods of Quebec to the coal mining country of West Virginia, and even a little in Kentucky. For some reason I never want to go back to them on vacation. LOL
Are you talking about the Spyderco ceramic stone sharpening jig? That was from me. I was wondering who got it.
Very cool kit. Thanks alot. I was telling Calvin that I was close to buying one but hadn't decided exactly which one to get.
.....worked in hooking up the do-knee and the re-ceev-ee.
My work here is done.
Several of the small islands (I think I heard the captain say a part of the park system) were set aside for camping.
