I actually worked at the plumbin' job for a month before this one came up. That was a great job too, but not as good.

It's forkin' amazing how many shoes they ship in a day!!!

I thought I'd show you some of the local flavor. These gardens just a bit south of our hotel.
Check out these babes..............
I mean, take a look at this fountain-and the rose garden-and this gate.
Nice, huh.

Our tour was a little different. (post #191331, reply #34 of 70)
We were in the Bizzaro universe to your lake with hot babes. The women on our lake tour were all Fat ankled, denim skirt wearing, Pabst Blue ribbon chugging, property of Darrel tattoo sporting , Marlboro Red chain smoking, front tooth missing Sea hags.
After the big Red Ford decided I probably did have every right to drive as slow as I wanted and got off my bumper we got to looking around. I think Lake Saratoga is more of a Nascar fan type lake. I called my folks after I saw the shack we had lived in and offered them money. We didn't have it so good. LOL
But it was an awesome time. Thanks for putting together the Swag. Who donated the sharpening station? I wanted to let them know I apreciated it.
Here's some pics of my childhood crib. I still can't believe I rowed that lake at 13. But then again. That's when you don't know failure.
Here's some more. (post #191331, reply #35 of 70)
DonCanDo trying to freak me out. Doncando and Jercarp trying to plan a strategy before rookie initiation starts. And Mikes own Woodshed I'm sure beer gets drank there so it's his own woodshed tavern?

It got to be a blur in that sweltering garage............................but-either FHB or perhaps Ralph-seems in his bag of flashlights there was something...............maybe , that was heavy.....................could have been a couple of heavy......................
That's my best guess. There was some serious volume.
Nice place by the way. That lake. We played Friday at the Lakes golf course-not on the water but way up the hill from the south end.

That heavy something was a Blade Runner and a package of extra blades to go with it. I hope whoever got the Blade Runner got them, too.
Never can have enough flashlights on hand. Maybe I'll do the same next year - maybe.
We got home Tuesday night. Crashed. Mowed the lawn Wednesday before the heat ramped up. Thermometer on my front porch hit 100 (in the shade). Got to load the tools back into the van soon, customers are expecting some work before I take more time off in the homestead on wheels.
This was certainly a grand fest. Can't say enough about our hosts. If Mike and Sue are reading this - STAND UP and take a bow. Want to do it again?????
I did see a blade runner pkg.......... (post #191331, reply #64 of 70)
and I did see a similar pkg by blade runner-attempted to put those in the same bag-believe I did . That was some wild [JOBSITE WORD] 'd swag distribution.

"the shack..." eh - it (post #191331, reply #38 of 70)
"the shack..."
eh - it coulda been an old trailer 10' away from the next one in the park (not that there's anything wrong with that) - it is a cottage on a lake - during the summer - good living, good choice, 'thanks, dad' -
but if you have money to give away - I live in a shack that's not on a lake.....
It was one of the best summers of my youth. (post #191331, reply #42 of 70)
It wasn't all that bad. And we had our own dock with a row boat. Sorry about the money I spent it all on gas and tolls on the way home.
We lived in trailer parks ranging from the deep woods of Quebec to the coal mining country of West Virginia, and even a little in Kentucky. For some reason I never want to go back to them on vacation. LOL
Are you talking about the (post #191331, reply #41 of 70)
Are you talking about the Spyderco ceramic stone sharpening jig? That was from me. I was wondering who got it.
Yep that's the one. (post #191331, reply #43 of 70)
Very cool kit. Thanks alot. I was telling Calvin that I was close to buying one but hadn't decided exactly which one to get.
I'm glad my poor memory (hell I didn't kow in the first place).. (post #191331, reply #44 of 70)
