Leaving GA ~ 6 AM Friday; leaving Wabash ~6AM Monday.  In a 4-door.

Got room for 2 more adults and one kid, or maybe three good friends.

This car don't carry no gamblers,
no #### shooters, no midnight ramblers . . .

This car don't carry no jokers,
no high-tone women, no cigar smokers . . .

No jokers eliminates pretty much everyone here.

Nice offer!

Bump!

Too bad your trip doesn't include NorCal or I'd be there!

Hey McDesign!

Looked at your mapquest directions and can I offer a little route change:  Take US- 31N(also known as Meridian) instead of IN-431/Keystone ave.  They have Keystone tore up putting in round-abouts, and 31 is a better alternative/less construction.

Doesn't seem too bad except that they have you taking a few miles north out of West Lafayette / Lafayette just so you can get to I-65 to go south for a few miles.

Since I went to school there, I can probably come up with a simpler way to get around town without that big U turn.  I'll try to get back to you tonight.

Oops - I was playing with that route, but then decided against it.

Try this one instead:

Coming through Ky. On 65 North. The traffic can be a bear at times all the way from Nashville up to about Ten miles past Louisville. Traffic conditions can be a bit bizarre. It's nothing to get stuck in traffic for hours waiting for an accident to be cleared up. Big wrecks are a very common occurance. Or for traffic to be flying along great then  everyone suddenly slowes down to 45 mph. for a couple of miles then taking back off again and you'll never figure out what was holding everyone up. Just stay on your toes is all I'm saying.

And when you get past exit 121 start watching for cops. Just North of there it drops from 70 mph. to 55 mph. And the cops sit there like vultures. And they don't give free passes either. I would actually be mindfull of my speed from E town up but it gets really bad just North of 121.

Not trying to scare you. Just trying to help. Of course your brain will be so fried from driving by then that you won't remember until it's too late but at least I can say I warned ya. That's all I'm obligated to do. LOL

See ya Friday night or Saturday morning man.

Another thing. Louisville is about seven or eight hours from Atlanta. If your getting hungry about that time pull over at exit 117 (where I live) or exit 121. Or wait until your about ten mile into Indiana. In between those two points if you get off there's nothing close to the highway.

You sure didn't wait very long !

I ran down there as fast as I could. Just too slow, I guess.

I guess I'd had too much mandatory preparatory chili, the night before...
