WHO'S PUMPED? (post #189376)

Sitting here in my Tipifest shirt. Sipping a frosty Miller Lite. Just downed a couple of Turkey Brauts, planning the invasion of Saratoga..

I'm starting to get my swell on. Who else is ready to mow that pop stand down and get after it?

Blodgett. Long time no hear. What's the game plan. taking the train? Amish don't go East so your safe on the way out anyway.

I'm always moderately pumped anyway. (post #189376, reply #1 of 62)

And I'm sure as we get closer I'll gain more PSI.

There's alot on the plate here right now-getting pulled in a whole [JOBSITE WORD] load of directions-so my concentration level is down a tad.

But yeah, just think of it-Susan is bound to be in a hugging mood.

585.................ugh.

So yeah, lets have at it.

One of the many reasons I jumped at the chance to marry that lovely woman.

Pity all can't be so lucky.

Can't lose with an Irish pub.

Talked to Seymore today. He's getting jacked up.

Looks like I scored those rooms in Albany. I know what your thinking, But they are free. We can figure out the DD thing when the time comes. It doesn't bother me to miss a few brews for a good cause.

Is NYC the closest cool city? I have that next week off and am thinking while I'm on that side of the Appalachias I might just go bum around a big town and watch "the system" for lack of a better word.

Hello Kentucky (post #189376, reply #11 of 62)

Our usual summer campout is venturing to Col. Butler Park-Carrolton. Friday.  Anyone near the neighborhood.

Since Louisville already took out a Maumee guy this past weekent, I guess we'll avoid that neighborhood.

Course, we aren't playing softball.

Bout an hour and a half away. (post #189376, reply #12 of 62)

I'm working on an audio and video upgrade in Frankfort Saturday. How long are you going to be there? If I recall correctly you camp for the full week.

What happened to the guy from Maumee?

PS Be carefull. There's a serial killer loose up there. Been bout a month since he attacked. It's probably time again.

This here trip is a short interlude-halfway to Nashville so our daughter can meet up w/us.  Friday - Monday.  Give us a call.  Throw some firewood in the truck-we shouldn't be carrying across state lines and will follow the letter of the law.

As far as the Maumee/Louisville connection.  Evidently they were down there for a softball tourney (I guess-because softball caused the argument in a local greasy spoon.  4 Louisville-ites charged with beating him to death.

4 Louisville-ites charged with beating him to death.

He was probably driving in the left lane right beside another Buckeye in the right going about 3 mph below the speed limit with his blinker on for 20 miles. If he was pulling a boat with styrofoam cooler tops flying out of it, they'll be aquitted.

I'll see how it plays out. (post #189376, reply #16 of 62)

Threw a couple steller BBQ's last weekend i might try to repeat that this weekend. Don't know. Might get the wife to jump in the jeep and come meet ya'll. If I can get her away from her pool. I'll keep you updated.

Hadn't heard about the Softball incident. Local news pretty much ruins most stories so I don't watch.

Ever hear that song by Tim Wilson? "Church League Softball Fist Fight." It's good. and sums up what's wrong with softball. LOL

Hey Cal -

I'm about an hour away if you want to venture down this way or we could meet up for lunch or something on Sunday. Cindy would probably be up for a drive up that way Sunday afternoon. I don't know any good eating spots and some of that country is dry and some of it that's wet is dry on Sunday.

yo yo yo (post #189376, reply #17 of 62)

You still got my phone number?  I think you gave me a call about rez last yr.  We'll be arriving the col. butler park ...............maybe mid aftn tomorrow.  Give me a call sometime over the weekend.  I know we'll be chasing that little white ball, catching up on some reading-perhaps looking for some photo ops...............you know, the usual camping stuff.

We eat like kings, probably might plan on going out maybe-don't know till we all 4 families get together and do the "well, what do you wanna do?.............I dunno...............how bout you.........."

It's a good time-lets get together-you can provide the local flavor...........

Cities (post #189376, reply #20 of 62)

I prefer Boston to NYC, but you can have fun in either city.  I'll see if I can arrange some transportation to Albany. I want to you to have a good time in Saratoga Springs.

It's a nice dump truck, but it's getting a little high.  They are pretty common here for cheap.  This one just needs some paint on the bed, ready to go. http://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/1767321....

They are on there all the time.  I had to talk myself out of the original 49 ford flathead dump with rat eaten upholstery.  Stored in a barn for the last 40 or so years. http://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/1710251...

I'm here! (post #189376, reply #22 of 62)

Holy smokes.  Been a while since I checked the board, I guess.

We're flying.  The train thing is tempting but we just don't have the time.

We're planning to be at Mike and Susan's Fri/Sat but also have family obligatory visists upstate NY and in western MA that same trip.  We're both looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some new folks.

Came back to say - The Michelin Man is pumped.

This new format hates the iPhone and I only get to my PC once a week or so. That's why I haven't responded. Take the train one way.Nah forget about it. Just get there.

I tell ya though I'd get on that train tomorrow and do the whole trip again if I had the chance. What a blast. Thinking about all that and then getting together with Calvin, and Grant last weekend has me pumped even more.

      LET'S GET IT ON!
