Another really great book on marketing in a long line of great books on marketing by Harry Beckwith: You, Inc.: The Art of Selling Yourself View Image just appeared on the scene a few weeks ago whose lessons and messages I think is particularly apropos for a lot of contractors.

Thanks Jerrald...
Just checked out the link and looks like a good book to add to my collection... Of course it's only good if i do manage to read through the whole thing. But it's on the "books to buy list".. Happy reading
Ray:)
I got excited reading it and got through it in 2-1/2 days. And I was just telling AndyBuildz that I liked it so much since I have a subscription account at Audible.com so I used up one of my book credits there and got it in audio book form too so I could "re-read" it via my iPod as I went bike riding yesterday and today.

How did you get the audio book into the i pod? I have one and have not tried such a thing yet but sounds like a cool thing to try.I use mine in the truck and also attach it to my job site radio and press shuffle.....:)Ray ;)
Are you on a Mac by any chance? For me after taking my shopping cart to checkout and I click on the button saying I want to download it now, once the download is complete it automatically opens up iTunes and I can then drag the book onto either my Shuffle or iPod.I do belive in setting your account with Audible they ask you what player you intend to use so even if you don't have an iPod (.aa format) you can download to other devices. As for running iPods and iTunes off of a Windows machine I don't know. My Windows machine runs Server 2003 and it's not set up for fun.

Yup!!! I have a MAC ... An older one but a MAC nun the less.
It's an early G4. I'm hoping if the spring and summer are good to me than I'll treat myself to a well needed upgrade to a new I-mac.It will be cool to try something like that some time.As for now, I'm just loving the shuffle button. it's like have my own personal radio station with no commercials and no annoying DJs. :) Ray ;)

Jerrald,
I was just looking at your list of biz books the other day and thinking about using audible.com or something like it as a way to read more.
I'll check this one out. Thought it would be good to fill my 30-40 min. commute to the job.
