3 gallon compressor – won’t go to 75+ psi?
Each time I run my Campbell Hausfeld compressor (rated for 100PSI), the release value lets out the air at about 75 psi and I am not sure what the reason is. I have taken out the release valve to look at it, but I think it is fine. The spring seems good. I am not sure if maybe I should spray some silicone spray into it to make sure it has a full range of motion. any ideas? The compressor is old so there is no returning it (my dad’s)

I guess the popoff valve is bad. Can you hold it in and get to full pressure? I have one of those, that shuts off at 125 psi, but it wont ever get there anymore. Tops off about 120 psior so and wont ever shut off. I think the cylinder or valves? have worn out.
How do you fix one? I have put pressure on it and it seems to stay put, but as soon as I let go...
Can you get replacements for those?

Yes, you can get replacements for those. If you are in an industrial area they should be available locally. Also they should be at stores like tractor supply. Should be a pretty inexpensive part. Always available online too.
