on my 2 story house the chimney chase is outside the wall and there is no access from the house as it runs up the wall outside a 2 story room with a cathedral sloped ceiling that has no attic space.
the chase is about5 ft wide and 3 feet deep. it is sided with horizontal siding.its about 2 1/ 2 ft off the ground and has a concrete block foundation 3 sides visible, hidden side is the house foundation..
do these chases ever have an access door to ease inspection?mine does not,
about 5 yearas ago I tool off some clapboards and cut the plywood out for a look see. no leaks, put it all back with screws. did that this month and I have a small leak.
it has a concrete block foundation which has been treated on the 3 outside walls (trench) against termites and also under the house , but there is no access to the inside of the chase foundation . There is no access into the foundation area
How would this area be termite treated? drill thru the blocks and inject chemicals?
