I’m building a deck and have concrete steps which I’ll need to attach trex to. It’s only the top step or landing about 3 foot square. The trex will lie on top of the landing but will also be attached to 4X8 treated beams. I’m thinking construction adhesive. thoughts anyone?

If you've thought this out and it's the only way, I'd use PLPremium as the adhesive, it's tenacious stuff.
clean the hell out of the concrete, no paint if you can.
no squiggle, blobs every 6".
Don't walk on it till cured.
what's your thoughts on concrete screws or fasteners? I was trying to stay away from these because the rest of the decking will have the non-visible screws.

Hidden fasteners
There are hidden fasteners that screw down. I don't see why you couldn't use these with concrete screws.

the heads of tap cons will be too big for conventional hidden plugs, but you could certainly make your own with a 3/8 or 1/2" plug cutter.
or
find those conventional plugs and deck screw combos(fastenmaster?) and use a plastic anchor in the concrete.
either with PLPremium should hold them good.
You could certainly drive some sort of fastener into the concrete, leaving them proud by a half inch or so, then drill matching holes in the back of the Trex and glue in place.
Hidden Fastener
Here is a hidden decking clip, can be screwed to the concrete exactly the same as the joists. The clip is made from marine-grade aluminum and can be used for wood and composite decking. The screw is stainless steel.

Won't work real well for steps, though.
Landing
Should work REAL WELL for the landing that the original poster asked about.
thanks for all the great suggestions
