hi everyone
ive always enjoyed reading hardcopy version of this. i would like to tile slightly sloped concrete board ledge beside and abutting tub. worried about water going through grout into crack between. its a bay window no room. any thin waterproof membrane to thinset over crack onto tub before tiling. maybe epoxy grout instead. any help welcomed thankyou

You're right to be concerned, just don't get paranoid.
Is it a shower-tub, or just a tub? If it's just a tub, use ceramic or porcelain tile and keep the grout sealed.
A paint-on waterproofing, like Red Guard, might work well for you.
