Best way to level this 100 yr old floor
I have a 100-year-old house and the second floor bedroom has sloped. I have owned the house for 10 years and the floor has not moved since and the doors to the room and bathroom have not been adjusted since I have been in the house. I’m looking to repair slope and install wood floors. The current wood floors for a quarter inch thick (I have measured them). I’m looking to install engineered wood floors in order to not have to adjust the thresholds.. Any ideas?

if the first floor is not showing these same signs, then your probablly looking undersized joist. In most of the older houses we work with we find a common denominator, true 2x8 timbers spanning to much and alot of time not on 16" centers.
oh by the way, on a centry old, I would love to just see 3/4" deflection on its width!!! consider yourself fortunate. I have one now that has been picked up 3" 3/4 and still needs a little more to go before we can lay new block.
Ideas about what?
You haven't given nearly enough qualified information in order to address your goal of achieving a "level" floor with any degree of relevance*. In fact, there may be reasons why "level" is not a cost effective goal to beging with. So, the first question should be: Are you planning on making the repairs yourself, or hiring a professional contractor to do the work?
