copper pipe rough in for slipper tub in concrete slab (post #194636)

i am remodeling my bath room and am installing a slipper tub which will have exposed finished plumbing from the floor to the supply lines at the the top of the tub. i have four inch slab and the old tub was a whirlpool enclosed in a deck. I will have to chip up the slab about three inches to reposition the two supply lines.
My question is can i reposition the two 1/2 inch cooper lines about eight inches down in the slab and rough in above the floor and fill in concrete where the new copper supply lines will be. Meaning can a portion of the 1/2 inch copper lines be submerged in concrete, or will the concrete eat away at the copper lines??????

Sleeve them........... (post #194636, reply #1 of 3)
with pipe insulation (about 1/2" thick foam) . The finish escutcheon will cover the insulation.

There is also (post #194636, reply #2 of 3)
tape for wrapping pipe that's run thru concrete, but I live the foam better... gives things a little room to move, and they probably will move.

Don't forget that if you have any joints below the slab they have to be silver soldered.
