I looked at some old threads here regarding electric radiant heat to be placed under tile. Lot of “likes” for NuHeat. What are people liking today. Easy of install, good thermostat control, and price.
I am lookiing at using something in a bathroom with say a 4 feet by 15 feet floorarea.
As always thanks everyone with solid advice.
My supplier is on vacation. LOL
Thanks

Thanks.
Thanks for starting a new topic and not reviving an ancient thread. Sorry I can't help with the question though.
Your Welcome
Always, and I mean always, glad to help. ? LOL
Nuheat...
Nuheat is still good. SunTouch, Warmly Yours are good too. All three work well, install well, and have good customer service.
Laticrete recently got into the game. Haven't used thier product, but I would.
I'd shop those four.
If you have a quirky layout that might result in too much snipping and flipping of the mesh or blanket mats, then consider SunTouch Warmwire. Put it where you want it.
Pretty straight run
I think my lay out is pretty straight forward and ... ah ... straight. The floor is basically four feet wide and 15 feet long. That would cover in front of the tub and two sinks and the one tolilet. It would not cover teh sids ofthe toilet, but who cares. It would not cover a 2 foot deep 4 foot wide area at the entry to the bath (area between two sinks) but I don't think that would bother anyone. I suppose I could cut the mat and zig zag into that area but then I might need more than a commonly found 30 long 18" wide mat.
Oh and I guess I was figuring that running a three foot wide mat area down teh middle of the four foot space would be fine even with 6 inch dead areas on the edges. I would guess some of the mat heat would radiate out into that six space (yes ? no?) But even if it did not, you don't walk that close to the edge of a room or that close to teh front ofthe tub.
Thanks for the input.
Under tile heat
This should be a straight forward install. Just make sure you do not place the wires too close to the toilet, it can melt the wax ring. They now have a rubber ring for toilets, I bought mine at Menards. This might get you closer to the toilet . I kept my heated tile away from the toilet
