Epoxy Coating Exterior Concrete Steps
Epoxy Coating Exterior Concrete Steps (post #107806)
doitall on Fri, 02/06/2009 - 22:16
I have rental properties in Minnesota with concrete steps. As I use salt generously in the winter to counter ice issues and liability, the concrete begins to pit with each winter. I was wondering if epoxy coating the steps would seal the concrete from the effects of salt, and preserve the surface.
Any ideas or recommendations for products would be appreciated.
Thanks,
DIA

Epoxy would peel off from the moisture coming in from the backside - not to mention 'poxy is sensitive to UV radiation.
Go for a two part urethane. And include an antislip compound.

Where to buy? Brand name recommendations? Thanks!

www.miracote.com
Better call them and ask about where you can get the two part product called APU. I don't see it on their site any longer.
