Floor drain question

kazm's picture

Is there a way to cheat a floor drain?  The pipe stub out is not quite veritcally level..  Translates to about 1/8 inch off level for the floor  drain.

You mean plumb?

Is it exposed so you could grind it level?

Yes, I mean plumb. (post #192996, reply #4 of 6)

Yes, I mean plumb.

If there's enough of a stub (post #192996, reply #2 of 6)

If there's enough of a stub (and this is plastic), heat it with a torch and  bend it.

This is probably my answer.  (post #192996, reply #5 of 6)

This is probably my answer.  Will give it a try.  Was recommended by another offline.

If you're talking about a FD (post #192996, reply #3 of 6)

If you're talking about a FD with a top that's about 9" across having one side 1/8" higher than the other, no big deal. You can cheat it that much with no worries. Either glue it (very liberally) or join it with a no-hub coupling. Both are capable of being deflected as much as you need in this case.

Actually it is a Kerdi shower (post #192996, reply #6 of 6)

Actually it is a Kerdi shower drain that is being formed in concrete slab.  I could be a little more specific I suppose.
