footing size for decks that have a roof over them
When determing a footing size for a deck that has a roof overit, are the loads additive? Deck load = 50psf, roof /snow load= 25 psf
I would use 75 psf to determine footing size. I am using DCA6 as a referfence but it does not mention roofs over a deck.
Any help much appreciated.

Yes.
Though it should be noted that (at least in our neck of the woods) the footings only needed to be sized for the "dead" load -- the weight of the structure plus some fraction of the people standing shoulder to shoulder. The rest of the structure needed to be sized for the entire load.
What are the load paths?
It's really up to your local code officials - Not people on the internet.
My opinion is that your roof and floor (deck) are unlikely to both have live load on them at the same time. On the floor, you'd be more likely to have a lot of people on it when the weather is warm. If there's a lot of snow on the roof, you aren't likely to be having a gathering on the deck.
Of course dead loads would always be there in all load cases.
That's my opinion, and it's worth what ya paid for it. Maybe a little more.
