Framing for skylights in an existing roof, is doubling up of the existing rafters required? Or is it sufficient just to head off the opening?

Will you be cutting out sections of existing rafters or will the (post #207371, reply #1 of 1)
skylights fit between two of the existing rafters? If you are not cutting any of the existing rafters, you should only need to add headers.
