Help! Need help installating an insinkerator disposal in an Ikea porcelain farm sink…
I’m having difficulty installing a disposal in a farm sink. The thickness of the sink’s bottom causes the bracket plate to sit too low in relation to where the unit clips under the sink. Normally, I install disposal’s in stainless steel sinks that have thin bottoms. They allow the three screws on the strainer to screw all the way in AND the bracket is low enough to allow the disposal to be connected. The porcelain IKEA sink doesn’t allow the screws to lay flush or for the bracket to have enough space to allow attachment…
Any idea? Do they have a special bracket? Any help with this problem is appreciated…

Might have to contact the mfg. for that one.
I'd call ISE and see if they have a special bracket.
But I don't quite get your description of the problem -- is there not enough space to get the retainer ring on? (I'd assume you could shorten the screws, if that were the only problem.)
Google does have it's place......
but I'd have called my plumbing supply and been able to take care of the problem in minutes (most probably).
I've never seen a thick sink problem-must be thicker than a cast iron to have become unworkable with what's in the box.
