hiding Hardie seams... (post #94324)

I'm thinking of finishing out a the gable over a Dutch hip using Hardie panels to achieve a flat background with the appearance of no seams. I'm not eager to pay for stucco work. The gable will have a large circular vent (probably not functional), so the eye will have something to look at besides seams.
Anyone out there aware of some sort of low profile trim piece or flashing, probably metal, which would cover the seam but blend in when painted? Other ideas?

There are aluminum H-bars that are used to align panel edges and hide the joint...they are about 1/16" thick. Unless you get the entire edge pefectly aligned and carefully caulk the joint, I think you will always see the joints.

I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
