Anyone know of or like a recessed, In-use, outdoor outlet solution?
I have fond the Arlington DBHR1W-1, but my goodness … it measures 10 inches by 8 inches. Huge! Flush, but huge!
Not a fan of the massive bubble covers.
I am concluding that you can’t have it all, but thought before finalizing that conclusion I would ask here.
For teh record (seems to be required here) I did consult my engineer (not really) and my electrical supply house. TEh electrical supply house looked at me with glazed over eyes, did not have a thing. I told them about Arlington and they seemed interested. Who know. Seems like Calvin always told use suppliers know everything. Hmm, who knew.
Anyone know more than a supplier.
Thanks AS ALWAYS to those of good cheer and helpfulness!

No kidding Greg
The depth fits in a normal stud wall and the H & W are no where near that big.
the deep Arlington boxes are a good buy, readily available for both exterior in use boxes as well as deep set interior.
real pity his supplier don't know more than he.
Thanks, will look into the H & W
As for Suppliers, I continue to find suppliers wish to sell you what they want to sell you. Many have little imgination and sell standard, that is the way we always do it (code for spec builder crap). Just my experience, and I suppose that is alright if you are building P. Jane Spec.
The Arlington box is that big! 9.7 inches by 8.1 inches! Model DBHR1W
Huge! most lap siding is ... what 6 inch exposure? Even 8 inch exposure would ahve this monster butted tight the the board above and hanging off the bottom edge, IF MOUNTEDsideways.

Nice job Calvin
Nice Job Calvin, did your engineer get that for you? LOL.
Very interesting. Everything I have seen has teh dimensions as I have previously posted (roughly 10 by 8) Very odd. I like your figures better. What gives?????????
Ok, we may be in business.
Thank you very much for the information. Or do I than your supplier? LOL

Why is it that you need to be an a s s ?
are YOU done being an a s s H?
if you are done, I will not have to rib you. What do you say? Not sure you are able, but we could see.
I have sincerely thanked you each and every time you have been helpful as in this go around, but you must admit you have not appreciated many of my questions here and been a patootey about it. That is your right, as is mine to call you on it. I think there is a pretty nice guy in there somewhere and perhaps we got off on a wrong foot somewhere. For the most part I have not had good luck with suppliers knowledge, your experience is obviously different. Please accept my experience as being different from your. It is clear I don't have the relationships you do as a pro in the business.

Hey gfretwell
Calvin was so kind as to post a catelog detailing the dimensions of the Arlington boxes. Odd that that is not what i have seen on other on-line sites. Teh cateloge can't lie.
so, bottom line ... You have used the boxes? You like the install? You like the finish look?
Thanks
