I live in a davis home.  On the wall where my picture is on each side of the window, they used a 2 in wide by about 3/8 inch piece of wood from the ceiling to the floor. What it causes is the wall under the windows sticks out about 3/8 inch from the walls on either side of it.l I am wanting to install 8 inch milled vinyl baseboard and quarter round but don't know how to handle those uneven areas.  Also, I am using corner shaped vinyl for the corners because this base isn't cheap and I don't want to waste any if I don't have to.  How would I handle the quarter round there.  If you know of any you tube videos addressing these issues, that would be helpful.
