My husband and I are in the process of building an ICF home. We have ran into a quandary as to our HVAC. We have an opportunity to purchase a radiant floor heating system by Slant/Fin at what we think is a fair price. What do you think of the Victory II boiler with PEX in concrete in the basement and staple up on the next floor? They also have a HWH that can be integrated into the system. Anyone familiar with the Slant Fin system? We will still have to run duct work for the air conditioner and ERV. We are wondering if it is worth the extra expense using radiant floor heat as far as being more efficient a system. The claims are it will save 30% as opposed to a stand alone forced air system. How true is this claim in an ICF house? I have come to value the opinions of those on this forum. I have referred to many a post when I am trying to make decisions in building our home. Any help is appreciated.
