Aluminum Trim for Fromica Counter Tops
I’m doing a restification of a Forest Service Bunkhouse built in the late fifties or early sixties.
I would like to maintain the period look of the kitchens as much as possible. Formica is cataloging the “Boomerang” pattern in the original color.
So now all I need is to find the aluminum trim pieces that the counters were originally finished with. I need to find the front piece that was about 1-1/4 inch high strip with about an 3/16-inch bead along the top that goes over the top of the formica surface. The other piece is a cove molding with about a 1-inch radius that was used to transition from the counter tot he back splash. (I’ll try to get up to the site and take pictures of the installed material in an adjacent building, and post those.)
Any ideas on possible sources?

There's a nasty yellow background color they aren't showing.
I have a piece of it framed I hung up in the kitchen after I re-did for wife.
It's here somewhere................

One of the guys here did this kitchen and I saved the picture. Maybe he will chime in.

When I saw "Aluminum trim for Formica" I thought "Right out of the 50s". And sure-nuff, it is.
Can't help you for a source, though, even though I can see in my mind's eye what you're talking about.
