Is anyone aware of a manufacture(s) of ventilation fans for bathrooms that are of lower profile and can be accommodate in a 2 x 6 overhead floor joist? Most fans that I am aware of appear to require at least a 2 x 8 overhead.

*Consider Fantech (www.fantech.com) with the inlet at the ceiling and the fan motor distantly placed. I have one, and the bathroom ceiling vent is unobtrusive, it really sucks (in the good sense of the term), and it's relatively quiet.
