I’m looking for feedback from anyone who owns/uses Bosch’s 10″ portable table saw. Before I give the nice people at Bosch $530 I’d like to hear some opinions from folks who have used this saw on a regular basis.

I like the Bosch a real lot better than the Delta Contractor's Saw I used to use.
I can load it in the truck by myself, it has plenty of power, and generally a pleasure to use.
A few observations; the table is aluminum -- soft, easy to scratch. This has not been a problem for me, but noteworthy.
When I replace some of the screws that have fallen out, I'll use purple Loctite. No doubt this is the result of bad roads. The saw doesn't vibrate much at all. Nonetheless, it's an inconvenience.
The guard is especially well designed. Easy to remove for those cuts where you can't have a guard, easy to replace for the rest of the time.
The electronic speed control works great.
The plastic base always sounds like it's breaking when I slide it into the truck, but even in single-digit temps, no problem.
All in all, a very good saw.
I think the only possible drawback is last I knew it's the second-heaviest benchtop saw. If portability is an issue you might consider the Makita with a Rousseau table. Otherwise, I don't think you could go wrong with it.
*.. i looked at the bosch.. bought the PC.. i couldn't find $150 of added value.. and the PC had a few features the bosch didn't.. all in all.. there's a bunch of nice tools on the market...difficult choices.. but hard to go wrong .. i think the tilting arbor on the bosch was more awkward than the PC.. funny .. i bot it at $399 at http://WWW... a month later they ran a sale on it for $350 and honored the sale price to me, so i picked up one of those folding roller ball/ roller stands for $47... and a buck changeb but hey, whadda i no ?
*I bought a reconditioned Bosch 4000 from ToolsforLess for $390 + shipping. Not used on a regular basis and needless to say, shop around.
*I agree with Dave. I bought the Bosch last fall & so far have built 2 kitchens with it & it is a very well built saw. Much better than the Delta in the Rousseau stand that it replaced. Local dealer was having a special on it then. Got the saw, folding stand, back & side extensions. extra blade & a 50' 12g cord for $500.00. How could I pass on that. The extensions & the folding stand are very well thought out & work extremely well. All in all IMO A very good saw for what it is. Do miss the wheels though .Dan
*Dave: Not unusual for problems w/threaded fasteners in aluminum. Army went absolutely nuts with that problem on the Sheridan w/ its extensive use of aluminum armor and other structure. It was a running joke that they issued it w/ a bag of extra bolts. I don't think even Loctite solved all the problems.Don
*DeWalt.......Fence......Jeff
*Dave covered it all. Love mine. It may be the second heaviest but I like its weight in terms of portability. DanT
*Got it, like it, dust bag isn't worth it. Fence holds it's fine tuning.
