I am looking for small amounts of composite lumber. White 4×4, 2×4, 2×6 and 1×4. Small quantities all 8 foot in length. Online or in the Baltimore area.

There's a constant source of clean water for you to use, and all you have to do is collect it.

Best bet is a good lumber yard, but the "big box" type stores may carry it, or special order it for you. Problem is the small quantities, there may be a minimum order quantity that is way over what you want. Craigs list etc is a source, but it's pretty unlikely that you will find what you need.
Welcome back
What do you mean by composite?
The plastic and sawdust combines-similar to trex and/or those park bench/picnic table companies?
Never have seen 4x4-there's sleeves that cover a reg. 4x4.........little or no structural quality to that type of "wood". Maybe some 2x4,6 but again, no structural quality.
Thanks
Composite, like the kind in playgrounds.
It doesn't need to be structural just dimensions.
Here's all I can do.
I'll send you a PM that should show up in your "Inbox" here at BT-upper left column on the page.

I made contact with a friend in Baltimore vicinity. He's got some history there, I'll point him to this thread and hope he can help you find what you're looking for. Never know, stranger things have happened.
But, send me your email using the private message which appears at the bottom of the page when you click on my name. If the above don't work, I'll send him your email address.

Here you go, my reply from the Baltonian:
Calvin:
I was really into composite lumber at the National Aquarium and we replaced our wooden stadium seats and an outdoor bridge with composite lumber made from recycled Plastic milk jugs. We also had some sustainable bamboo composites for various items.
The HDPE raw material comes from post-consumer waste (primarily milk and laundry bottles and plastic bags), LDPE from plastic bags and shrink wrap packaging, and PET from post-consumer soda bottles.
Not all composites are made from recycled materials with some being from raw plastic or PVC. Your friend can find composite lumber at 84 lumber company and I noticed that Home depot had composite decking as well.
Now days I am retired and brew my own beer and have developed a legion of homebrewers. I grow my own hops and propagate my own yeast strains. Kayaking, bicycling and playing string instruments fill my days.
If you hear of a good doubles horseshoe pitching match, I'll come out, grab Pete Taylor as my partner and we will show the boys that we still have it!
Ring em up!
Bill
Thanks
I will head over to 84 lumber this weekend. Knowing the proper name, should help.
