good afternoon members!
I am nearing the end of a small addition with a basement. The floor was poured in late February (a cold wet period in Ohio). The floor cured with the exception of a three square foot area along the wall. The location remains visibly damp. I attempted to dehumidifiy the space with very little success.
The floor area is 10 x 14 and has a vapor barrier under the wire mesh.
The contractor keeps steering clear of the question.
I ask for information because knowledge is power.
Thanking you in advance.

Is there any sort of drainage system under the slab?
And what is on the outside of that damp area -- is it a low spot in the backfill or a high spot or a place where water might get trapped?
