Is there any product out there to dissolve tile grout. I bought a brick house that had been a rental for 30 years. Anyway some “smart minded” fixer upper person decided to repoint the moarter joints with white unsanded tile grout. This person of course did not even use tools, but smeared the joints with their fingers, thank god they did not do the whole wall, but just a few cracks here and there
Anyone?

air chisle or sand blaster
depending how "stuck" it is....maybe a pressure washer with an assortment of tips. Jeff.......Sometimes on the toll road of life.....a handful of change is good.......
I'm raipidly seeing that an air chisle would be the way to go. Can you recomend a good one?

I think acid , wire brush , and a rented power washer will be the ticket. Watch the zero tip or it will cut brick. A cheap air chisel that you keep oiled will give many hours of service. They crash and burn quickly with out oil, even the good ones. If you are set on an american made one , check with the auto parts store . You can rebuild their good ones. Devilbis is a good one, but I burned one of those last week on floor patch.

If it's only a spot here and there, wouldn't a grout saw do?
