Hi, we want our semi-diy house to be highly ecological. Made out of certified materials, as natural as it can be nowadays. We’re looking for a window and door manufacturer and we found Klassen. The timber is ecologically certified, their products seem to be high quality, maybe anybody here had the oportunity to see (and touch!) these products?

If you want eco-friendly, then you chould be looking at manufacturers that use finger-jointed wood. Short scrap cutoffs, finger-jointed, then glued ogether to make longer sticks that are used to make up the structure of the window.
Isn't "recycling scraps" more eco-friendly than cutting down a big ole tree? And then wasting even more "tree" to print yet another piece of paper that say's it's certified?
Obviously, to be "natural"
Obviously, to be "natural" the "glass" should be isinglass (mica).
(And, yes, wood windows made with finger-jointed materials will last 50-75 years if reasonably well maintained, outlasting most vinyl and aluminum windows.)
Hello,
Me and my wife had the pleasure of dealing with this Klassen company you’ve mentioned. We had some beautiful sash windows installed at our new place and I must say they make it look very fashionable! They’re made of high-quality materials and it looks they’ll last a very long time! In addition, everything’s so natural inside with these! If you have the chance, try them out for yourself!
Hi Chris.
You must work for the Hormel company also.
