electric radient floor heaters??

R-Squared's picture

My client wants to install electric radient floor heat under the ceramic tile.  Can anyone suggest a specific brand to use and or avoid.  I realize it must be tiled extremly carefully.  I'm looking for the best product, but I couldn't find many reviews.  Thanks

Look at NuHeat (post #205631, reply #1 of 2)

I've known several people who have used NuHeat and have been pleased with the product

dto, used NU Heat for several years now. Never had a complaint about them.

Electric heating of any sort has been used reluctantly because of the high cost of electricity.

China has been manufacturing PV panels at a price that becomes reasonable. The problem still is how to store the energy when there is not enough light. This might change now soon. A Canadian company in the US is mining Vanadium (backed by Chinese investment) They want to develop storage methods that can be tapped for "off-light" periods. Then it would make sense to convert to "free" power source.

As a builder i would prepare for appropriate electrical panels and wiring already now. Also roofconstruction would be on the agenda
