I have experienced failure with the Elk New Cedar grooved 1×6 decking fastened with the Saber clip system. The boards have had great lateral movement, butt joints have opened to over 1/2″ and in between the 16o.c. joist the decking is moving both up and down. The deck has been installed as per Elk specifications and the saber clips where screwed with the proper torque. I am pursuing a warranty claim on behalf of my client for complete deck replacement. I have been using various composite decking for years and have never seen such total failure. Has anyone had similar problems?

Elk Decking Failure
I have also experienced failure of this product. It was installed according to the Manf. Specifications, and with there clip system. Mine has deteriated, and shrunk as much as 1 inch on the ends. Have you found out are there any claims against this product. Mine was installed 5.5 years ago.
Thanks
