engineered flooring aka oak plywood

junkhound's picture

Saw a deal on CL for Bruce oak engineered flooring.

Anybody used this stuff, any good??  Apparently 5/16" 3 ply with oak top layer.  Staple it down type stuff.

cut the end off and take a look (post #207333, reply #1 of 2)

At that thin, there's really not much of a wear layer-way more than laminate flooring, but long term?

There are better eng. floorings available, but like most everything-at a higher price.

Wake up and I have a question-5/16ths, you sure?  The engineered are usually thicker.  Solid might be that thin.
