I am looking for some post top ideas that I can fabricate myself. Trying to keep from spending a fortune at local yard for copper or PT tops to place on top of flat cut posts. I am also still considering simply beveling tops to shed water without adding add’l ornamental top, but if good enough was good enough, I wouldn’t be reading FH now would I?! Any ideas or sites I should go to? Thanks, all.

It all depends on your post size, but pick up some 5/4 Stock in a good weather resistant species like cedar, and use your cool tilting mortise jig on your table saw to bevel them. They will look great, last forever, and you can be proud of your work.
