Looking for some info regarding pricing a whole house for interior trim. Anybody have ideas for square foot pricing for paintgrade trim. 1500 ft house with 1100 lineal feet of casing and base, 200 lineal ft of liners, 12 doors. I have figured it out roughly, just wanted to get some feedback. I figure about $3.50 a square foot, but I have no idea if thats near the going rate or not?
Thanks

Back in the day..
When I was doing production trim, I figured an hour's rate for each door, window, and room, including closets and stairs. Anything fancy in the closet doubled the allowance. Shoe molding in a room added another hour. Basic crown, another hour. Some of these things take longer, some less time. It seemed to work out. I allowed a day for most kitchen installs, and for most railing installs.
My buddy who did similar work used a square foot formula. We always ended up within a couple of hundred bucks of each other on bids.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated!
