Everything I have read about laminate flooring installation reads that the flooring should be either paraell to the light source, or paraell to the longest wall. Also, hallways should be run long way.
How about when the light souce would make the flooring in the hallway run across the hallway?
Any recommendations on how it should be run? There are no joists to consider (concrete slab).
When you enter through the front door, you look right down the hallway: to the left is the living area, and to the right is the kitchen/dining area.
This is a Habitat for Humanity House. Thanks

Just go with what works best. I think hallways should be laid parallel always.
another vote for parallel in the hall.
Maybe not a consideration in a small home, but in a reasonably long hallway people will start and stop at the doorways, and eventually the force of their feet on the flooring would cause cross-ways planking to buckle. This is likely a significant contributing factor to the "parallel" recommendation.
Uh, Dan...........
you aren't what they call.......uh, "big boned" ?
