I thought I could handle the framing of a “simple” wrap-around (two sides merging at a 45) stairway to my front door landing but it’s proving to be more than my building acumen can handle. I tried to hold up a plywood template and level through the other stringers but my cuts turned out wrong and I can’t figure out why. Anyone know the steel square solution to figuring the “hip” stringers for a “simple” 6.5″/10.5″ set of stairs? Much obliged to anyone who can talk me through it.
