This guy needed a Home Inspector !!!

“The house at 327 Clifford Ave. was purchased about a week ago and nobody was living there. The owner went to the building with a friend to determine what repairs would be needed and to try to estimate the cost.
“We opened the door and I smelled it and I said, ‘It smells like something died up in here,’ ” said Anothony Jarrett, a friend of the owner.
The owner went outside to his car to get a crowbar to pry the door open. While he was outside, Jarrett found the body in a closet in a room at the front of the house.
He used a broom handle to lift part of a blanket covering the body and found the woman, who was wearing only a bra and panties, he said. “

"Rochester Police Capt. George Markert said the body has not been identified. He described the victim only as having "no visible trauma." "
Sorry don't mean to steal your show here but isn't death a pretty visably traumatic thing... Heck it killed her didnt it.! I think they left out the word physical.

A home inspector wouldn't have helped, we only do a visual evaluation, smelly stuff is up to the buyer!
Maybe she WAS a home inspector. Some sellers don't take bad news very well.Brinkmann for president in '04
Talk about your skeletons in the closet. It would have gone that way if you have just waited a year or two.
I know what happened...
Her husband told her he was selling the house.
Her reply was: "Selling the house? Over my dead body mister!"
And the rest... well you know the rest. James DuHamel

Why the heck would anybody buy a house without looking through the dang thing first ???
Either this man is dead or my watch has stopped.
It was probably a sheriff sale government auction, a tax delinquent sale so the government is assured of it's income.
Guess we know why the taxes didn't make it to the mailbox.Half of good living is staying out of bad situations.
Most purchase and sale boilerplate includes a "broom clean" clause. Does that mean if the seller dusts off the body first it's OK?

Yup - But it would have to be a "stiff" bristled broom.
The Earth is full. Go home.
good one good one

Once discovered did they deduct something from the price of the house? Or did they charge extra? I suppose there might be some that would consider this sort of thing a feature.

Hmmm...... That could start a whole new trend.
I think I remember reading somewhere that 'round the turn of the last century in Merry Ol' England that it became somewhat of a fad for some of the "lace curtain" set to have a "grotto" built on their country estate and hire a "hermit" to live in it when they were entertaining company from the city......
Good judgement comes from experience and a lotta that comes from bad judgement
