Hi everybody. I’m the web producer for FineHomebuilding.com, and I *just* now created my account here on the Forum. We’ve been having all kinds of problems with the Forums, we know, and we’re working to fox them. The problem of not being able to create new accounts is now fixed, as you can see by my new account here.
Oh wait, what about the problem with being able to make new posts? Let’s test that one!

Well, that worked! Hopefully we can continue to work on other fixes, such as photo posting, email notifications, the surplus of spam, and so on!
Meanwhile, please reach out to me at [email protected] directly for issues, quesitons and so on.
Hello!!
The problem I was having is that I couldn't log in -- I tried about daily for the past week and kept being told my userID/password was wrong.
But it seems to be working now. Hopefully the old gang will check in eventually.
Mike
no offense intended but we here have heard all sorts of upcoming fixes etc. that never saw the light of day.
Are we expected to believe it this time? Watch what you say, previous givers of hope were never seen nor heard from again.
Ask Matt.

the new user situation is fixed with 320 suspect new users registered and at last, the new kitchen sales representative sticks his head out of the sand.
Heres one to work on. "Recent Posts" used to display pages of posts in order. Prior to the posting problem it got limited to first just maybe 3 pages.......then just one page and now, just anything after my "Test" post.
I had used that to semi-easily scroll through looking for a post I had seen days before. Now, there's no way to find something that sure doesn't need a "search function" to find.
Calvin, you can go "Home" and
Calvin, you can go "Home" and select one of the individual forums and see everything.
"Recent" apparently just covers the past week or so.
On a different note, I see our British kitchen folks are back -- the spam filter still doesn't.
And we're still getting error messages every time we post.
That's a fair criticism. I'm not making any promises on new features or new resources devoted to the boards. But here's my bottom line: This forum is a part of the FHB site. And when it is broken (as it is now, still), that reflects very poorly on the magazine. My goal right now is to restore functionality and fix things that do not work, like the email notification, for example.
And I hope to not disappoint the loyal users and fans of this site.
Mike
Well, we're all rootin' for ya!
Mike
Just checking to see why no posts for a day.
When you're as old as we are, posting a lot wears you out! Gotta take a nap.
Hi , this is first time i go here finehomebuilding.com
I see more people i want to say " hello" to every one
Thanks
Mike,
It says I can't log in but it seems like I can. I've only been on the forum since 1998 and have watched a fine resource destroyed by mismanagement and greed. I had been a subscriber of FHB since 1980 but cancelled after Jason Revlon (sp) killed this site. We will see what you can do but I don't have much hope. Many of the former members are at. http://forums.delphiforums.com/breaktime_3/start waiting.
Good luck.
