Hi All,
First post here for me on this board: I have a crawlspace that I have recently dug out, and poured a rat slab [over a radon vent, 4″ crushed stone, and a vapor barrier]. The reading I have done says to insulate the short crawlspace wall with rigid insulation that is “Fire Rated”. How does one do this? One person suggested sheetrocking over the insulation, but that seems like it brings up even more issues of installation, permanence,…..
I have also seen examples of stapling fiberglass batts to the sill plate and draping it to the crawlspace floor. Again, for a tidy solution in the end, I’d rather use the rigid.
Any help on this topic is much appreciated.
