Wow. Yesterday morning I went through the first page and made sure I clicked on every topic that had been updated to clear all the red “Updated” tags.. This morning, 24 hours later, there is 1 post that has 1 new Reply and that’s toa thread thats 14 years old! I’m not sure that saying this site is a shadow of its former self is accurate, a shadow would be bigger. I’ve noticed that most new posters are drive bys who stop long enough to ask a questions but never return for an answer.
Nice job Fine Homebuiulding from one of your original fans. You’ve dumbed the magazine down to a House and Garden clone and damaged your new technology content to the point of irrelvance. Why bother anymore?

I would like to think it is benign neglect but appears to be more intentional obsolesence.
I think you're right. Taunton is going down the tubes so fast they don't have time to save themselves. It brings me no joy.
Another 24 hours, another single post. May as well pull the plug.

around the 4th I sent an email to those in charge of the mag and forum. I mentioned many of the gripes we've hashed over and over about the operation of this board, adding the most recent problems brought up. I ended that email with the same statement you mention above.
Edit: sorry for the dbl quote, that was never fixed either. Can't edit it out, not for lack of trying.
Then this post came up recently:

Three weeks later and I still have had no reply to my email. Communication is not their strong suit.
The most posts in a few days are this thread?
Sad.
Calvin must feel like he is trying to talk to a dead horse?
Was going to say whipping a dead horse, but Peta might come after me ?
More like a dead horse's ass.
