Can't the computer gurus put in a scanner specifically to scan for "kitchendesign1.co.uk"? Seems like it should be a simple config option to do that.
If you go to the website you find that these Jobsiteword Suckers are very protective of their Jobsitework e-mail addresses.
BTW I censored my self rather than let Taunton's computer do it.

no guru and one fine dumb carpenter.
And can't find the time to do anything other than come on and see these scuzbags, and there's a bunch of em..........then open their name-block them and then delete the post.
All manual.
And it' was suggested by me when these rapid fire UK posters started showing up..........to do the delete automatically of their link etc.................
Well, still waiting for a response.
Till then, manual deletion..............
Thanks Cal
You da MAN!

It's a pain in the ass.
Meanwhile legit newbies give up and go away because they can't get past Molum or whatever it is.
Don't these a-holes have to use an e-mail address when they sign up? Isn't it verified? Wouldn't it be nice if we knew it?

Here's what I see.
Most of the day-midnite on EST. A boatload of registrants with names used - a jumble of letters, some with a number or two and usually the same first and last name. I also see the email address that was used at registration-if I search a spam identifying site-it comes up as a spammers email address-used many times in succession and reported as spam. (take a look at the Member Visits box on the left side of the page..........pretty creative names, no?
This morning, I blocked 250 of them, registered since last nite.
Pertaining to the UK kitchens-they come in groups, with the same email used per name registered. However, there might be a few different names-hence a few different emails............whether legit or not, beats me.
I've asked that they block automatically, anyone using the same first and last name when registering-which in my experience either spam this site or never post squat. Result-nothing.
I've suggested that the link (whether it works or not) re. UK kitchens in a message be automatically blocked-Result-nothing.
To me-the dumb carpenter-it would be easy for someone who knows something about this software to do.
I also asked that those who had been registered users b/4 the changeover, be automatically a "trusted user". This is a button I have to switch on whenever I get a piss'd off poster that can't get on. Result-nothing.
For a while, I'd edit users as they posted their first thread and switch that fuck 'er on.............but just sort of gave up on that as too much time I didn't have.
Remember in the beginning of this changeover.....................it'll be easy to mold our new software into something that the users find necessary, appealing and workable.
So there you have it.
Just a dumb carpenter with a delete and block button and a switch to make posters "trusted users" and absolutely nothing else.
You block 250 a day ???
Seems like a job for the Taunton people, not a volunteer.
no joke
This is what bitch'n and moan'n will get you.
I used to send Dan Morrison links to the crap posts. He got so sick of that he graciously gave me access to the button.
No good deed goes unpunished.

Here's the latest UK kitchen email registered.

Think it's real?
Could be, I emailed the company this morning and told them what was going on. I told them that the posts were not very flattering to the company, and if they were paying someone to do this, it's a money looser. I gave a link to the forum.
But like I said, they don't care what we think about the ads. They just want a lot of pages linking to their page to up it's Google rating. It's precisely because the new software immediately sends updates to Google that they're doing this.
I'm sure glad Revzon added that to the forum.
NOT
unmonitored example...
If you want to see a real mess go over to knots forum and look at the cafe or for sale sections.
I'd say they are effectively paralyzed.
You know, the software really needs a downvote capability where if 5-10 regular users downvote a post it gets deleted.
Yeah, say the post gets a certain number of inappropriate flags by a set of trusted and approved users, like you and Cal and some others, kills the post.
And if there is a link embedded in the post, that link should be blacklisted.
Well, it would be nice if Cal had the ability to enter blacklisted links to prevent further posts too.
