I’m going to build a deck with ipe. Anyone use Advantage Lumber or another online wholesaler?

There's a constant source of clean water for you to use, and all you have to do is collect it.

I took my online price to the local guy here (Shoreline Lumber) and they matched it with delivery. I was happy to buy local.
Advantage is great price wise but their service is non-exsistant afterward. Also, they only deliver to the street and getting the material off the truck and to the deck location is all on you. The labor can eat up any savings very quickly. Ipe is like lead weights. Buy local.
Haven't had a problem in the past, but I also unload the truck with a crew of 6-8 guys and/or a forklift. Moving Ipe is hellish regardless, so if you're willing to unload and don't have to move it a mile, I'd say go for it.
However, I always support buying local, so if you can get a fair price locally that's always the best option IMO.
