In Memory of a Breaktime Friend

Holy smokes!

I'm stunned. I don't know what to say.

Stunned as well. I never saw a cross word from him, only something in the vein of a hearty 'Welcome to Breaktime' or 'let me bump your post'.

Maybe the archives can have an appropriate note stickied in his honor.

Thanks for all you did here, Rez. Hopefully you're not stuck in between a couple of polijivers on the bus ride now.

That is terrible news. The 'dial ups' are going to need some extra guidance.

What a terrible loss.

I want to say he was part of the fabric of Breaktime but I think grain might be a more appropriate word.

If ever there was a thread that should be moved out of the tavern to general discussion this has my vote.

Wow what terribly sad news, we have all truly lost a 'good guy'.

He was such a wonderfully quirky chanracter, not a bad or mean bone in his body. He was BreakTime's doorman, concierge, and librarian. To me it seemed all he really wanted to do was be helpful. I really don't think we will see someone like him again anytime soon.

Goodspeed Rez.

Goodspeed.

It is always a shock when someone passes unexpectedly.

I was just getting to know Rez, and I liked him and his posts.
I looked forward to his posts about the way it was in music.

I'll miss him....

Wow, talk about a shot to the gut. Great guy who will be missed.

This is a real shocker.
Dave was one of the real heroes here.

I can think of no finer way to honor him than to employ some self control in avoiding fights here and look for ways to make this place a finer one, the way he always did.

So long Rez, be appreciating you muchly!

"a shot to the gut"

That sums it up for me.

Always good for a bump, a welcome. Knew when to present an award.

Peace.

Thanks, Rez. I'll remember you.

Facebook. His local friends there were leaving RIP messages.

Yes, you posted that from Facebook, so I just did the best search I could on obits, knowing what I knew of where he lived, and his name.

Reading what others said on FB, and in the online guest book...this man had a huge life and circle of people who loved him, for so many reasons!

No kidding.

I tried searching obits, but I had his last name misspelled and wasn't having any luck. The Conneaut newspaper doesn't have a website, either.

In my mind, a good bump will always be a rez.

i'm just a reeling here. Just starting to get back on an even keel from Mom's death and now this news of Dave just brought the taste of bile to my mouth.
