Many moons ago,FHB ran an article by an engineer discussing not only nail schedule but allowable spacing of nails in framing members. He mentioned that in some cases, size needed to be increased not because of load but ability of lumber to accomondate the number of fastners. I have tried with no luck to find this article. It may have been from ’80,s or ’90,s. Does anyone recall this article ? Thank you.
