Figured I’d put a 30 foot tower on new pumphouse, and let the grandkids paint one side. Assy on ground so they could paint first , then pushed up into place with loader. Used 27 ft long single piece 4x5s for corners, 5 by 10 baltic birch ply sheathing – all from salvaged pallets. Used internal diagonal braces as suggested by this board in a previous query asking if anyone had ever done this.
Roof will be 4 piece preformed metal installed from a floor 4 ft below top of square, 20 inch spiral (square) inside tower for access. No pix of raising, somebody had to hold the safety line. Have raised 12 foot high walls with 10 people before, never anything 28 feet high with a loader. Went up easier than I’d thought, no problems. Took only 15 minutes to raise, but close to 2 hours (1 person) to get it plumb and fastened down. .
Posted here, could not find photo gallery? – did the photo gallery disappear?

Minute I posted this and went back to the boards, the photo gallery was back! Is it just me, or is this another prospero quirk?
Our gallery is always there.
(Was this enough of a hint ?)
: )
Yer going to have to let me resize those pics for you, if you want to post them, though.
That is one very very cool pumphouse. And the mural makes it SO much better. I admire the way that you do so much with/for the grandkids.

Art,
That's cool, you should get the kids to paint the loader too!
