I am about to refininsh my oak floors. I have noticed some marks left by an earlier refinishing job. These look like they were left by a drum sander and a few look kinda deep. Also there is some staining where house plants were kept etc. Some of these are just grey (raw wood exposed for a long time?) others are black.
I need advice on how to deal with the stains and what type of sander I should look for. I would rather use an orbital sander because of ease of use and its ability to get into corners and next to walls. Not sure though if it would be aggressive enough to get outsome of the deeper marks left by the previous sanding job.
Thanks in advance
Mike
