Can anyone tell me how to print a single reply. Printing the whole thread would be great – like I used to do; but I expect that’s not possible. Everything I try just prints control characters.
Thanks, David

David- Highlight what you want to print, then go way up top to 'File', click on that, (next to Edit, View...) then click on 'Print' and you should see, near the bottom of the box that comes up 'Print Frames' and then you can click on 'Only Selected Frame' then click Ok. Only what you have hi-lit should print.
Its pretty easy to do an individual message. Just select the "Options" link that is under each message, and select the "Print Message" option.
Did not find a quick way to do an entire thread.
Hi Don,
Just tried it. It prints garbage for me. Does it work for you?
David
Just tried it again and it works fine. Did you get the dialog box that allows you to select the printer? Also, what browser (e.g., IE, Netscape, AOL...) are you running? The print controls in the web page use interfaces in the browser and that could be the source of the problem. Obviously, your printer is working in other apps, right?
Don
Don,
I switched from Netscape 4.77 to Internet Explorer 5.5. The Print dialog box now has a section about printing frames (Netscape didn't). Printing individual posts is as you described. But Adele's reply now makes sense. If I highlight ALL the posts by dragging the mouse over them and selecting 'Only the selected frame' they will all print one after the other, each inside its own box. Thanks Don and Adele.
