Problems with VETTER WINDOWS & DOORS
Problems with VETTER WINDOWS & DOORS (post #190881)

I just had a homeowner client of mine contact me with a problem they have been having with their Vetter Windows.
Their home addition is 6 years old. They've been having difficulty with the opening and closing their windows. They have contacted Vetter Windows and have provided them with information on the windows but have yet to have any return calls.
Has any one out there had similar product problems and request for service experiences with Vetter Windows? If yes, what did you do to get the matter resolved?
Meanwhile, I am contacting Vetter Corporate offices regarding this issue.

It would be a good idea to check the squareness of the window openings. It's possible that the addition is racking (eg, due to a foundation problem) and that is the cause of the sticking.
Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed. --Herman Melville

What do they have and how would you describe the problem?.
Did they start with who did the install, the supplier or did they just dash a letter/email off to Vetter?

They contacted Vetter via email. When they went to the Vetter website, and I check that out first, you can either contact the manufacturer by email or standard mail, no telephone number. They were hoping to get a local contact from them for servicing.
They provided Vetter with information on their windows as requested by the Vetter site and waited for a response. They are still waiting for a response.
The did call the GC, and he gave them a name of a window service guy. I am not sure if that service guy is a Vetter service guy or not. The GC response was most recent and immediate.
